As we embrace the lingering summer weather (there’s still time to sail on Lake Michigan), we have begun the transition to autumn! The fall season brings with it a horror film festival, hayrides, lumberjack shows, and even an underwear run! There are also pumpkin farms, Oktoberfests with German cuisine and beer in abundance, and much more coming up. Prost!

FALL FESTIVITIES

This month and next, the calendar is filled with Oktoberfest events, fall festivals, and run/walks – including the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Brat Trot and Flannel Fest with the Jockey Undie Run. In mid-September, the fall seasons get going at Jerry Smith Farm and Thompson Farm.

PORT OF FEAR FILM FESTIVAL

More than 60 Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thriller films from independent filmmakers near and far will be shown at this film festival. It takes place September 13-14 at Kemper Center. There is no fee to visit the Port of Fear Spooky Market, which includes unique artwork and more.
