Fall Arts & Crafts

More than two dozen in-person arts & crafts classes appear in the fall lineup this year, all led by talented, artistic teachers. As many as eight different courses start the week after Labor Day with daytime and evening options to suit everyone's interests and schedules.


Drawing classes offer opportunities to master portraits, still life, landscapes, animals, nature, and colorful patterns and designs. Improve your techniques using watercolor, acrylic, or oil-based paints.

Pastels is now offered on two different days of the week. Create an image using different layers and shapes of colored paper. Indulge your creative impulses with a variety of collage classes and other types of projects such as creating greeting cards or mandalas, paper quilling, Bargello, knitting, and weaving.


Arts & Crafts instructors returning to the classroom this fall are Bonnie Cotnoir, Jacqueline Davis, Hope Friedland, Edward Grigg, Robin Ingram, Anne Johann, Dana Matsushita, Maggie O'Keefe, Katy Romita, and Amanda Wilson. Joining SAS for the first time are Jo Jayson, Stephanie Lieberman Paley, and Maxine Nodel.
