Public comments sought
UW-River Falls is seeking comments from the public about the university in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The university will host a visit Oct. 15-16 from a team of peer reviewers representing the Higher Learning Commission who will review the institution's ongoing ability to meet HLC's criteria for accreditation. UWRF has been accredited since 1935. Comments must be in writing and must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Submit comments to HLC at https://hlcommission.org/comment or mail them to:  Public Comment on University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Higher Learning Commission, 230 South LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500 Chicago, IL 60604-1411. 
All comments must be received by Sept. 14.

With assistance from some heavy machinery, the final wall of the long-standing R. A. Karges Center came tumbling down June 13. Deconstruction began May 21 and while the above-ground walls have all come down, site clean-out will continue through July.  Read more.  
 
         
When Dan McGinty arrived at UWRF in 1975, the R.A. Karges Center was just 15 years old. Over the last four decades, both McGinty and Karges Center have left a pair of indelible - albeit unique - impressions on UWRF.
