We have Willow’s Farm, Magical Wonderland, and Home Town Holiday collections;

Wool Applique Kits curated by Maddie; tons of classes and more....

Featuring Deb Strain with her Willow’s Farm collection.

Designing for Moda Fabrics since 1996, many of Deb Strain’s collections have flown

off our shelves over the years. In contrast to Jason Yenter who we wrote

about last week, Deb draws and paints her fabric designs by hand – beginning with

pencil and ink, and the results are delicate and intricately detailed. You can learn more about Deb’s creative process in a video interview with Misty Doan that we will post on Facebook…but first let’s look at the new arrival called Willow’s Farm.

Oh how little ones love farms and farm animals! The panel features sweet young farm animals encircled in soft greenery, and the coordinates are farm scenes, animals, trucks, tractors and butterflies and of course, a willow tree! The colours are soft and comforting.

When the MODA rep visited the shop with these samples back in the winter, we

swooned over these fabrics and all agreed the photos just couldn’t fully capture the

cuteness factor.

We couldn’t resist putting these four kits together for you to choose

from … each one has its own special appeal and will be fun to make and loved when its done!

From the Editor..

Norine grew up on a dairy farm so she is particularly taken with the Willow's Farm collection introduced above. My favourite is still the On The Go Around Town panel shown in last week's newsletter (there's still a few left). Since I am a retired, colour blind Electrical Engineer my opinion on fabrics is suspect at best and most likely seriously flawed. I will stick to what I know - which might mean you won't hear from me for a while.

I've been told the August Demo Day will probably not turn in to a full-on quilting smackdown. Really thought I had called that one correctly! There's a Shop Hop coming up - no idea what that is but it sounds like fun.

Enjoy the week.
