Cameo Theatre and Jonathan Pennington Studios Open auditions are on Wednesday, April 16 from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Please arrive at 5:15pm. 
Production Dates: May 31, June 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29; Fri. & Sat. at 8pm; Sun. at 4pm 
THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE is a high-spirited musical romp that has all of New York dancing the Charleston. It's the zany new 1920's musical that has taken Broadway by storm, winning the TONY Award for BEST MUSICAL!

Taking place in New York City in 1922,THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It's a New York full of intrigue and jazz - a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Based on the popular movie, the stage version of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers.

Filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess audiences will love to hate, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE is a perfectly constructed evening of madcap merriment. And with the role of Millie Dillmount, musical theatre has found a new heroine for the ages in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE!

Characters Needed:

Millie Dillmount - A young, "modern" woman from Kansas. Originally, her goal is to marry for wealth, rather than love. 
Jimmy Smith - An attractive young paperclip salesman. He does not show pride in his wealth. 
Miss Dorothy Brown - A new actress from California, Millie's best friend. 
Mrs. Meers - Evil owner of the Hotel Priscilla who is a former actress. "Mrs. Meers" is her alias name, as her real name is Daisy Crumpler. 
Trevor Graydon III - Sincere Trust Insurance Co. Head. 
Muzzy van Hossmere - Singer and bon vivant, stepmother of Jimmy and Dorothy. She was the second wife of her late husband. 
Ching Ho - Chinese henchman, falls in love with Miss Dorothy. 
Bun Foo - Chinese henchman, focused more on the task at hand. 
Miss Peg Flannery - Curmudgeonly head stenographer at Sincere Trust. 
Ensemble - Moderns; Stenographers; Hotel Priscilla Girls; Muzzy's Boys

On Friday April 18th the Cameo Theatre will be opening its doors, on Easter weekend, to the public for its second ever Cameo Rummage Sale.  Only one time  before in the Cameo's 30 year history have they opened their doors for a sale such as this.  There will be over 5000 treasures to be found during this unique sale.  The Sale will run April 18 & 19.

Expect to find costumes, furniture, fixtures, collectables and treasures even the Cameo doesn't know they have! Over the years the Cameo has collected and acquired items to the point where they have become limited in space.  This clearing house will serve as a mini fundraiser for Cameo Theatre in addition to helping support future productions. If you like thrift shops, estate sales, garage sales or flea markets this is the event for you. It's been Five years (!) since or last sale so we have alot to get rid of.
