faFinancial Aid Application Priority Deadline

It's time to apply for financial aid for the 2015-2016 academic year. Please go to fafsa.ed.gov to complete your FAFSA for next year.

The priority deadline of April 15 is fast approaching and we want to ensure your application is considered for the maximum amount of funding available. Please note: you must reapply for financial aid annually.
gradesMidsemester Grades

Starting Thursday, March 26 at 9:00 a.m. you will be able to view your midsemester grades by clicking the "Midsemester Grades" icon on myCurry.

For each course you will see:
S= a grade of C or above
U= a passing grade between C- and D-
F= failing grade at midterm
NG= no grade submitted/blank
N= never attended course

Midsemester grades are not "official" grades because they don't show on your transcript. They are meant to give students an idea of where they stand in their courses, and to use to have conversations with their professors about what they are doing well, and what they can improve on over the second half of the semester.

If you have a concern about your midsemester grades, you can talk with your professor, Academic Advisor, the Academic Success Coordinator, and/or consult the free tutors in the Academic Enrichment Center to work on academic strategies (time management, study skills, writing, math, etc.).

If a student decides to withdraw from a course, or take one grade/pass/fail, those deadlines are April 10, and forms can be obtained from the Registrar's Office or the Academic Advising office. All decisions regarding course withdrawals and grade/pass/fail contracts should be made in consultation with a student's academic advisor.
nesnVote for Curry College Student in NESN Competition

Senior communication major, Michael Last '15 (Film/TV), is a finalist in the New England Sports Network (NESN) "Next Producer" competition.

In the New England-wide competition, aspiring student filmmakers are vying to win $20,000 in cash and a possible job at NESN. For the competition, Michael produced a documentary, "Free Rider," profiling his 13-year old nephew.

Michael's film is one of 10 films posted on the NESN website and viewers can vote for their favorites. The judges will consider those votes, but won't be restricted to them when they pick the winner. The film with the most votes will be recognized as the "Top Fan Film."

Michael needs your vote TODAY to help him advance in the finals.

Click the play button above or visit NESN's website to watch and vote for Michael's video...
ccd1Visit the Center for Career Development

It is not too early to schedule a visit with staff at the Center for Career Development. This is a great time to plan for internships in the summer and/or fall or to discuss choosing a major. Check out a list of their services here.

If you would like to work on campus next year, you can check job opportunities via Curry Connect starting in August.

The Center for Career Development is open all summer, and offers in-person, phone, or Skype appointments. Visit curryccd.setster.com to schedule an appointment.

If you are planning on completing an internship, remember that you must first take EXP 2340 - Introduction to Experiential Learning. The course is being offered this summer from May 18 - June 7. Registration is easy - simply go to myCurry and click on the mySchedule tab to enroll.

Students from Professor Jeff Lemberg's Multimedia Journalism class have been traversing campus recently, interviewing students and faculty, and sharing photos and bits of knowledge about campus for a class assignment.

Perhaps you have been a part of this "Twitter Scavenger Hunt," but in case you haven't, check out the hashtag #MJCurry on Twitter for an insider's view of campus.
