FY25 Benefits Open Enrollment Begins Today!

It’s time! The benefits open enrollment period for benefit-eligible faculty and staff begins today, Monday, April 22 and will go through Friday, May 10, 2024.

Benefits changes made during this open enrollment period are effective for the Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) benefits plan year (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025). Here is the FY25 Summary of Benefits. Please visit the ISU HR Open Enrollment web page for full plan details and other important information.

As a reminder, beginning with the FY25 plan year, July 1, 2024, the medical coverage for the state health plan will be serviced by Regence BlueShield of Idaho rather than Blue Cross of Idaho. Dental insurance will remain with Blue Cross of Idaho.

New member ID cards for both Regence and Blue Cross will be mailed out in June. Please check and if needed, update your ‘mailing address’ found in ‘My Profile’ on your Employee Dashboard. If you updated your mailing address, please also email benefits@isu.edu with the corrected address, so we can send the correction to the insurance servicers.

This will be a passive enrollment process, so those currently enrolled in a given Blue Cross of Idaho medical plan will be automatically transitioned to the Regence BlueShield plan of the same type without having to fill out any new forms.

If you do not need to update your mailing address and are not making any of the changes listed below, then there is no action you need to take during open enrollment.

Open enrollment allows you to:

Enroll/re-enroll to participate in a Medical and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Enroll in a Health Savings Account (HSA)

Enroll, disenroll, or make changes to your medical plan selection without a qualifying life event

Enroll or disenroll in self or dependent dental coverage without a qualifying life event

Switch premium deductions from pre-tax to post-tax
