Art Supplies Drive for Underserved Schools

The Fort Worth Community Arts Center asks you to join us in a drive to collect art supplies to give to underserved schools of all levels in the area. As you may know, teachers frequently have little or no budget for supplies, and end up paying for supplies from their own pockets. In some of these schools, the parents are low-income and cannot help. We are looking for new or gently used supplies. Please consider donating some of the following useful supplies - drawing pencils,
erasers, charcoal, soft and oil pastels, Pentel (quality) colored pencils, india ink, drawing paper, sketchbooks, bristol board, colored paper, drawing boards, mat boards, mat cutters, metal rulers, white glue, glue guns, glue sticks, b rushes, paints (watercolor, tempera, acrylic), watercolor paper, canvases or canvas boards, gesso, clay (oil based,  stoneware, or terra cotta), clay tools, wi re for sculpture, plaster, X-Acto knives, scissors, silkscreens, linoleum and linoleum cutters for printmaking, wood for wood block prints, non-toxic printing inks, brayers, Holga-type cameras and film, small electric kilns, small hand power tools, frames, hanging hardware, etc. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Deadline is Fall Gallery Night, September 12, 2015, although we can always find a place for unused supplies. Thank you!
