Rhonda Juhan
Ms. Juhan retained our firm to represent her in a Divorce and Temporary Protective Order. The Court granted the TPO and every demand of FTA in the Divorce. In a contempt hearing, the Defendant was incarcerated, at FTA's request for repeated noncompliance of the terms of the TPO. Prior to the expiration of the TPO, FTA filed a Motion for Permanent Protective Order. The Motion for Permanent Protective Order was subsequently granted for three years.

Thurna Perry
Mr. Perry retained our firm to defend him against a modification of grandparent's rights. FTA successfully defended his claim against the grandparent, who requested visitation similar to the schedule of a parent visitation schedule. The court denied the grandparent visitation and granted Fenwick Thompson Associates's request to substantially decrease the visitation schedule.

Child Support
A trial judge who orders payment of "relocation" expenses of a mother in a judgment awarding child support is required to include written findings required by OCGA § 19-6-15, because payment of these expenses is a deviation, held the Georgia Court of Appeals, and Bodne v. Bodne establishes no presumption against the relocating parent or in favor of the remaining parent.
Noble v. Noble, A18A0617 (2018).
A free college tuition benefit provided by an employer is not a "fringe benefit" that counts as income for child support, held the Georgia Court of Appeals; also, a trial court must include written findings and conclusions supporting any deviation from the presumptive amount of child support.

Custody
Unless the facts clearly show a trial court abused its discretion, it does not err by awarding permanent primary physical custody of a baby to a father who had never seen the child in person before being granted temporary primary physical custody, held the Georgia Court of Appeals.
