Documentary Release: Bad River

Opening in select theaters on March 15, the documentary, "Bad River," tells the story of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the ongoing battle to protect Lake Superior. While the producer didn't set out to create a film about Indian boarding schools, she learned through interviews that the impact of St. Mary's Boarding School, administered by FSPA from 1883 to 1969 in Odanah, Wisconsin, also needs to be shared. Learn more about the film that features an interview with Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Eileen McKenzie and theater locations at fspa.org.
