WHO DO YOU SAY I AM?
In Matthew 16 Jesus asks his disciples, “…but whom say ye that I am”? They gave various answers; a teacher, a prophet, Elijah, John the Baptist, Jeremiah, and then Peter said, “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.”
I could ask you that same question, and the answer will definitely tell me where you are in your spiritual walk.
Some would say that Jesus was a prophet, while others say he was a teacher. Some would say that he was a fable and never existed, yet none of those answers will bring us the light we need to “know” who he is.
He was a teacher, he was a prophet, he was a healer, he was a leader, and yet, the greatest truth is that Jesus was and is God in the flesh. This is what Christianity is all about.
Without Jesus being God, our sins would never be paid for by his blood. Then, the blood had to be sinless, and he is the only one that can lay claim to that. What we believe about Jesus will determine our future. It builds our faith, and releases God’s power in our lives.
Don’t take who he is lightly. He is God in the flesh, the promised Christ (the anointed one), and the ONLY savior of the world. He is the I AM who spoke with Moses, and He is the I AM that saves us from our sins. He is Jesus, Yeshua, Jehovah God, the anointed one that came to earth, was crucified, died, was buried, and rose again from the dead.
Without these truths, we have nothing to build our lives upon, but with these truths, all things are possible. Who do you say he is?
GOD BLESS YOU
