Learning from one’s mistakes is the best way to experience growth. On July 22nd, NEFEC will host an interactive webinar titled,
Using Simulations to Improve Decision Making
.
The webinar introduces participants to educational leadership simulations that focus on common, real-world leadership and interpersonal situations that are encountered in the world of education. During the simulations, the participants will be able to consider options, make decisions (and mistakes) in a safe environment, and draw conclusions from the experience to develop and retain critical thinking.
Beginning in October, NEFEC will offer a 6-week simulation series focusing on
Instructional Leadership
. In each one-hour session, participants will play the role of a school leader who is faced with a problem of practice. Participants will actively discuss solutions and collectively make a series of decisions to resolve the issue. Similar to real-life, they will face the consequences of each decision, but in a safe environment.
