Dear WW Philadelphia Member,
What’s my favorite meal? Breakfast! Definitely breakfast.
I could eat breakfast 3 times per day. Since last July I’ve been on an egg kick. I have eaten so many eggs I’ve probably contributed to the egg shortage. Even with the higher cost of eggs, they are still a reasonably priced protein source compared to meat, chicken, and fish.
To round out my breakfast, I like to have half of a medium potato diced, one-quarter to one-half of a sweet pepper and a little bit of diced onion. Because these items take more time to cook than I like to spend on a weekday morning, I usually cook a large batch once a week and then warm up small amounts every day in a sprayed pan. Then, I prefer my eggs cooked in a small pan in a teaspoon of olive oil. Add a little salt and pepper and sometimes a serving of fruit and I’m ready to tackle the day until lunchtime.
One thing I think we forget while losing weight and maintaining weight loss is the importance of healthy fats. One of the functions of fat in our daily intake is the need to make fat soluble vitamins available to our bodies. I’ve seen a couple of dieters (not following Weight Watchers) through my years that have went a little too strict with fat intake and they didn’t look as healthy as the ones of us that are more reasonable about our food choices.
Another trick for satisfaction that works for me is adding a couple of Points to a ZeroPoint food to make it tasty to me. One example of that would be adding two tablespoons of parmesan cheese to roasted broccoli. So good! Only one Point!
There’s no reason to eat boring food. Make it delicious, spending Points on the little extras really works and jazz up those ZeroPoint foods in an unbelievable way!
Have an amazingly delicious week my friend,
