NOTE FROM YOUR PRESIDENT

David Karachuk

June 2024

Hi, everyone.

After the State Conference, I took a break from writing a newsletter in May. Nonetheless, we've been hard at work on our slate of events over the next three months.

Here's our lineup.

Golf Scramble Tournament with Awards Lunch

Tuesday, July 23, at Tunxis Country Club, Farmington

Registration OPEN

Shotgun Start at 9. Come early for the Practice Range.

Our NexGen Chair, Daniela Cerasani, has organized this morning on the links. Thanks to Sponsors, you get the round, practice balls & lunch for $25 for NexGens, $50 for Members and $75 for Non-Members.

An Evening at Hill-Stead Museum with Museum Tour, Happy Hour & Dinner

Wednesday, August 21, at Hill-Stead Museum, Farmington

Tours at 4, Happy Hour at 5, Dinner from 6:15 to 8

Despite my nearly 60 years in Connecticut, I didn't know until last summer that one of the largest collections of Impressionist paintings in the State is in Farmington. I visited last summer and I was awed by both the art and the grounds. No speaker, just social interaction.

Secrets of Success Virtual Advisor Roundtable

Tuesday, September 10

Registration OPEN

Advisor Education Symposium

Thursday, September 12, at New Haven Country Club, Hamden

SAVE THE DATE

3 sessions, with breakfast

8 to 12:15

Our Keynoter, Julie Geniac from Hartford Funds Applied Insights Team, will speak about the need to extend retirement planning beyond the usual focus on ensuring a client's lifespan doesn't exceed their wealth span. Called Longevity Planning, it encompasses the nonfinancial challenges of longevity including living arrangements, care needs and social & mental activity. You can hear more directly from Julie at Building Your Longevity Network. The morning's two other sessions are on Social Security and The Psychology Behind Financial Decision-making.

Look below for more information and links for registration. And remember you can always check fpact.org for all our Upcoming Events.

Finally, about the State Conference: we thought it was a great one on all fronts, venue, food, schedule, Speakers, Sponsors! We'd like to hear what you thought, about the Conference and anything else you'd like to mention. Tell us using What's on Your Mind?

Enjoy the summer! We hope to see you on July 23, August 21 and September 10 & 12!
