Piedmont Schools Welcomes New Executive Director of Special Services, Scott McCall

PIEDMONT, OKLA. (May 2, 2024) — Piedmont Schools is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Scott McCall as the new Executive Director of Special Services. His background includes 25 years in education, with extensive experience in special services.


The Executive Director of Special Services position is a new role within our school district. In this role, Mr. McCall will develop, administer, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate Special Services programs as integral parts of the total curriculum in accordance with state and federal laws and procedures and the Board of Education policies.


"Scott is highly regarding in the education community for his deep understanding of best practices in special services," stated Dr. Drew Eichelberger, Superintendent at Piedmont Schools. "His extensive experience and knowledge in Special Education make him a excellent addition to our administrative team."


Mr. McCall has served as the Chief Special Services Officer/Executive Director of Special Services for ten years and Assistant Director of Special Services for five years in the Putnam City School District. His background includes a variety of roles, including Assistant Principal, Special Education Teacher at both elementary and middle school levels, Computer Technology Teacher, and Life Skills Trainer at a residential treatment facility for boys with behavioral disorders.


Mr. McCall holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle School Education from York University, a Master’s degree in Special Education from Wichita State University, and a Principal K-12 endorsement from Adams State College. He is now pursuing his Doctorate of Education in Administration and Leadership at Southern Nazarene University.


Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. McCall is committed to serving his community. He is a 4-H leader for the Oklahoma County livestock group and actively participates in his church as a deacon and mentor to students with disabilities. He is married to a fellow educator and is a proud father to three children.
