FLY Updates: August 2024

We are so excited to get back together! Each year students are required to fill out a Medical Release and Registration form - this is needed in order to participate in our trips. Please fill this out as soon as possible! Here's the link to the form: Youth Ministry Registration, Medical Release, and Yearly Permission Form.

Aug. 11 - Backpack Blessing at Outdoor Worship (both services)

On August 11, during both worship services we will be having a Backpack Blessing to encourage our students and educators as they begin the school year!

This is a chance for us to pray for all students and teachers as they head back to school. Bring your backpack/book bag along with you to church and we will place them up at the altar as we pray for you in a new school year. Educators bring your lesson plans or curriculum folders and plan to come forward as well.

These services are outdoors - please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on!

Aug. 25 - Back to (Sunday) School Bash Grill Out - 11:30a-1p

On Sunday, August 25 join us on the front lawn as we kick off our Children, Youth & Family Ministry activities! We'll be hosting a grill out after the service with bounce houses, lawn games and other fun activities. Bring a dish to pass (dessert and hot dogs and chips will be provided). This is a chance for our congregation, families, and visitors to to come and learn more about Faith, meet other families, play games, and share a meal together. This event is for all ages as we prepare to dive into the school year activities ahead - bring your friends! If it rains, we will meet in Luther Hall.

Sept. 4 - FLY Nights Begin

FLY meets on Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:30pm in the FLY Room. We'll spend some time getting to know each other, play games, and have a discussion about our faith in the real world.

Sept. 10 - FLY Forum Starts

On Sundays, FLY meets in the FLY room from 9:45am through 10:45am. During this time we'll get to know each other, work on service projects, and connect our service to our faith.
