This is an extra special edition of FLAGS+. We wanted to let you know all about the exciting events we have planned for the next few months, from our annual camp, to monopoly run, and the launch of this year pride calendar !!!

 

We're excited to make 2015, the most exciting and engaging year to date. We will be holding a members survey to help understand your needs, and will be looking for new ways to engage members.

FLAGS 'members' Camp
13 - 15th March 2015

 

Here's a date for your diary, we're pleased to confirm our next annual unit camp will be 13th - 15th March.  The venue has now been confirmed as Rough Close Scout Campsite, Berkswell (near Coventry)  


 

We are looking for a team to support us in running this event, so if you would be interested in getting involved in the planning of the weekend, or being our chef, please get in touch with me by email at events@flagscouts.org.uk

Alternative Monopoly Run - London
3rd - 5th July 2015

 

Ever wanted to visit all the places on the Monopoly board? 


 

Well now you can. 


 

You attend all of the locations on the standard London Monopoly Board, along with a host of other challenges along the way to keep you entertained! Not only do you attend the coloured streets, you must attend the Railways Stations, the Utilities and be creative with Chance, Community Chest & of course the famous playing pieces. The event is ran by a a friend of FLAGS - Lee Wells and is raising funds for young people to attend Japan 2015 and completing their Explorer Belt.

 

There are various awards and prizes to be won by teams competing in each level.

  • Fastest Time
  • Most Challenges Completed (scored on points)
  • Best Picture (submit your most interesting, crazy, unusual picture)

We're looking for a team of five people, as well as a couple of people to join the staff team for the weekend. The event is fully catered and costs �24, indoor accommodation is an additional �5.

PRIDE 2015
13 - 15th March 2015

 

We're really excited to be able to share with you our provisional plans for pride season 2015, which kicks off at the end of this month. 


 

This year we are aiming for a bigger, and better pride season then ever before. We have pride events, and activities planned for across the country and really want you to be part of our celebrations. We are also pleased to have created our exciting new resources to support local counties, and districts to attend pride. We'll be sharing more details about our pride events in the coming weeks, but in the meantime you can find the key dates and details here .
