We know not everyone makes it to the FIRST Championship, but we know a couple of you reading this did.  Houston was a great host for thousands of FIRSTers from all over the world (just look at that GIF!), and next week we're giving back to the teams down that way who were hit by Hurricane Harvey.  Read on!
Special Hurricane Harvey Relief Event September 28

The devastation from Hurricane Harvey was exceptionally hard for a lot of FIRSTers that filled the George R Brown Convention Center not all that long ago.   FIRST in Texas created the Harvey Fund to offer grants to help sustain FIRST programs in southern and central Texas areas that were hit by this massive hurricane.

On Thursday, September 28th, AndyMark will donate 30% of all sales to the Harvey Fund.  We hope to ensure nobody has to choose between keeping their FIRST program going this season and other essential needs as the area recovers.

The only two things that won't count towards the donation tally: tax, and gift certificates.  Every other part we sell, big or small, counts.  We hope you'll start getting your list together now for the big day next Thursday!

Turn your design sideways with the LJ Bevel Box

The LJ Bevel Box is a bevel gearbox designed for CIM motors (or anything that mounts like a CIM motor).  The bevel gear setup means the input is at a 90-degree angle from the output shaft, allowing you to tuck CIM power into places where it might not fit in a traditional spur or planetary gearbox--especially with FIRST STEAMWORKS' tight robot size limits.

The 2:1 gear ratio of the LJ Bevel Box is a healthy reduction that can be augmented with chain or belts easily. This makes it a perfect option for all kinds of manipulators and joints that need high-powered motors!
