March 31 - April 2, 2023
Another fun weekend at Scarborough Fish & Game. The weather finally got us on Saturday, but we made the best of Friday and Sunday and got a lot of shooting in. We did have some brave folks that shot Saturday in the rain.

First the news…The sporting clays course is officially open for the season. Targets from all four courses will be up this Wednesday from 9am - 4pm. This coming weekend we will be closed Sunday for Easter, but we will open the course on Saturday from 10am-2pm. Come on back and try the targets again.

Our sister club Hermon Skeet Club, up near Bangor, is have a sporting clays shoot this Friday and Saturday. They do a great job and it is worth the trip up. Information is on their web site.

This year, Trap-a-Palooza had several events to choose from. The 20ga, 100 target event was fun. We had a tie between John Carbone and William Brown both with 95. John won after tie breaker....congratulations to both! The 100 target Fluff event was a challenging mental game event. People said it was easy, but you had to be on at every station and put every target away. Earle Glidden won with a 99. He was followed closely by Dave Graham with a 98. Great shooting to both. The Super Sporting event got a little tougher but was still a lot of fun. We had a new name at the top, with Tom Fenderson winning with a 95, after tie breaker with Earle Glidden also with 95...great shooting guys! The Main event played a little harder with not much speed or distance, but some technical targets. Dan Warner won with a 94. William Brown was runner up with a 93. Congratulations to both.

We want to thank Greg & Sharon Berry for serving a great lunch on Sunday. It was awesome to smell the burgers cooking again. Thanks to Lisa and Bill for registration and scoring. Thanks to Jim, Bill, Tom, Neal and Ron, for filling and stocking all those traps.

Well, that is a wrap on Trap-a-palooza! Next up is the Easter Extravaganza with multiple days of shooting.
