FDA Pet Food Recall Alert
In cooperation with the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Inspection and Consumer Services Division's Feed Program, PACFA is coordinating a new outreach effort in order to inform our licensed community of pet food recall alerts when we receive these notifications from our Feed Program or the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
On Wednesday, December 30, 2020, the FDA issued an alert to veterinarians, pet food retailers, and pet owners regarding Sportmix Pet Food products manufactured by Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc. that may contain fatal levels of aflatoxin. The link to the FDA alert can be accessed here.
