Fort Bend ISD to host Special Education Hiring Event Tuesday, September 10


Fort Bend ISD will host a Special Education Hiring Event on September 10, 2024 as it seeks qualified and dedicated staff members to lead and support student instruction throughout the district.


Candidates who are interested in Special Education teaching, instructional apprentice and aide positions are encouraged to attend the September 10 event to meet with hiring managers and learn more about the opportunities available during the current school year.

The big annual PTO-Booster Club Meeting is coming up on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the James Reese Career and Tech Center from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. 

All PTO-Booster Club parents, staff and any interested supporters should plan to attend the meeting.


Topics to be addressed:

  • How to start a new booster club on your campus
  • How to reserve event space and other facilities
  • How to file taxes and manage other financial needs

The Fort Bend ISD Free and Reduced-Price Meals Application is now open for the 2024-25 school year and families can complete the application online at www.schoolcafe.com/fbisd. 


Only one application needs to be completed for each household.

Parents of four-year-olds who live within the district and do not qualify for free enrollment, may register for the reasonably priced tuition-based pre-K program.

FBEF helps Goodman Elementary teachers restock classrooms!


Goodman Elementary students will soon benefit from a Fort Bend Education Foundation gift awarded to 75 teachers at their school!


The Education Foundation generously donated to each teacher a $500 gift card to a teacher supply store to help restock their classrooms.


The school suffered massive water damage, and the gift cards will allow teachers to replace educational materials and tools to support student learning.
