Overcoming Resistance to New Ideas | April TIME Lecture


On Tuesday, April 16 at 4:00pm, FAME will welcome David Schonthal, MBA, Clinical Professor of Strategy at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University, for our monthly grand round series - Today's Innovations in Medical Education. In this interactive session, David Schonthal will highlight the frictions that operate against new ideas and innovations and explain how to transform the frictions into important catalysts for change. Call for Proposals | 14th Annual Medical Education Day


Proposal submissions are now open for the 14th Annual Medical Education Day.

Proposals will be reviewed by the Medical Education Day Committee and decisions will be communicated in late June. For any questions, please contact fame@northwestern.edu

Proposals must be submitted by June 2 at 11:59 pm for consideration.

Media Training 101 with Global Marketing and Communications


Northwestern faculty are invited to attend a hybrid "Media Training 101" hosted by Northwestern’s Office of Global Marketing and Communications’ media relations team. Held on Thursday, May 9 from 1:00 - 2:30pm, this training will review:

  • Why it’s important and beneficial to work with the media
  • Tips on crafting your public message about your work
  • How to best prepare for an interview
  • Looking and sounding great during broadcast interviews
  • How to work with our office
  • When it’s best to reach out to us to promote your work
