Medical Education Day Keynote Announcement - Jean Twenge, PhD


The Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators is excited to announce Jean Twenge, PhD as the 14th Annual Medical Education Day Keynote speaker. Her keynote address will begin at 12:00pm in Hughes Auditorium and is titled Understanding generational differences: Improving teaching and training in academic health professions.

Proposal submissions are now open for the 14th Annual Medical Education Day.

Proposals will be reviewed by the Medical Education Day Committee and decisions will be communicated in late June. For any questions, please contact fame@northwestern.edu

Proposals must be submitted by June 2 at 11:59 pm for consideration.

Feedback Toolkit - FAME Digital Resource


The Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators' digital resources includes a feedback toolkit repository. Developed by Mary McBride, MD, MEd and Priya Jain, MD, MEd the toolkit offers various modules, lectures, and reading resources to increase one's skillset in the areas of giving and receiving feedback.


Individual faculty, groups, and departments can also request a feedback grand round session on facilitating feedback conversations in clinical environments and peer coaching in medical education. Request a grand rounds session here.

Coming Soon - FAME Promotion Toolkit & Promotion Advising Program


The Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators' is developing a new digital resource to assist Feinberg faculty in the promotion process. This toolkit will offer various recorded lectures, resources on scholarship and teaching effectiveness, and lists of funding opportunities.


A component of the new promotion toolkit is FAME's new Promotion Advising Program. Feinberg faculty may request one-on-one sessions with promotion advisors who can mentor on various aspects of the promotion process, from reviewing CVs to advising on the promotion packet development process.
