Dear Friends,

I want to thank everyone who made last months Annual Awards Gala at the Padua Hills Theatre such a grand success! This year was a record year and it was due to the very hard work of the Gala Committee, Board, Staff, Volunteers and of course, the partnership from our valued Sponsors as well as those who attended the sold-out event. There were moments of laughter and frivolity as Gala Chair, Jennifer Stark, and celebrity emcee Charles Phoenix lead our Claremont Trivia Game and live auction. There were also serious moments with standing ovations of respect for our well-deserving awardees, as Board President, John Neiuber and Executive Director, David Shearer bestowed the awards.

Our honorees this year were: HartmanBaldwin, who received our Bess Garner Preservation Award, Brian Worley, who received the 2024 Cultural Heritage Award, and the City of Claremont, who received a special Preservation Award for passing the first in the history of Claremont, Cultural Resources Preservation Ordinance! Claremont Heritage presents Muriel F. O'Brien Education Series...

ALBA CISNEROS – MOSAIC ARTIST | Presentation*

Alba Cisneros was born and raised in Claremont and has been making art since her early years at Sycamore Elementary School through Pitzer College in the early 1970s, followed by 17 years in the Millard Sheets and Associates Designs and Denis O’Connor Mosaics Studios. Alba is a self-employed artist working in her own studio and for Land Design in Pomona, a landscape architecture office where she has been a designer for more than 25 years.

While working in the mosaic studio, she helped to complete more than 80 large-scale mosaic murals for Home Savings and Loan of America, design by Sheets, Denis and Sue Hertel, among others. Alba has also designed and fabricated mosaic tables, signs and logos for various professions and private residences.

Claremont, CA - Claremont Heritage is delighted to announce its highly anticipated 42nd Annual Home Tour, themed "Preserve, Restore, Reuse," taking place on Sunday, October 13th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We are excited to invite you to join us in celebrating 42 years of showcasing Claremont's historic homes. 

Tickets will be available for purchase August 1, 2024 online, and September 1, 2024 at the Garner House and select retail locations in Claremont.
