April 2024

Sign up today for annual leadership event

You are invited to Servant Leader: Present, Equipped, Here—this year’s churchwide-sponsored leadership event. It’s open to all, whether involved in Women of the ELCA or not. Including worship, Bible study, speakers and breakout sessions, this year’s leadership event will reintroduce the servant leader concept and its connection to relationships and community while acknowledging the many challenges facing organizations like ours in our current context. Participants will explore the leader-full community that is Women of the ELCA.

Servant Leader: Present, Equipped, Here will occur Saturday, May 4 from 1:00-5:30 p.m. CDT. Register now. And spread the word.

Celebrating Women's History Month

Our final conversation takes place this coming Wednesday (not on Good Friday) with the Rev. Victoria Hamilton, a former churchwide executive board member who attended seminary and was ordained after her service on the board. Join us at noon CDT on Wednesday to hear her call story and how it intertwines with Women of the ELCA.

We'll keep our Women's History Month (March) celebration going by featuring our "Just Lunch" Facebook conversations on our YouTube channel! During Women's History Month we talked with five women about their involvement in Women of the ELCA and how it inspired their sense of call.

Choosing happiness

The Rev. Amy Waelchli will lead our conversation about honoring God’s gift of creation. Bring your best tips and resources to share with the group at the next B.Y.O.D., Thursday, April 4, at 7 p.m. CDT.

Register now. All are invited to attend. Enjoy your dinner, have dessert, sip your favorite beverage or simply come and be present. It's a casual hour of faith reflections.
