Happy LEAP Day!

As we transition from winter to spring, we'd like to share some updates from Eggert Family Dentistry. Firstly, congratulations to Emily for being named our February Wonder Woman Award Winner. Your dedication and hard work truly embody the spirit of excellence we strive for at our practice!

We also encourage you to explore our recent blogs on essential topics such as Mouthguards and Dental Emergencies in Youth Sports, highlighting the importance of protecting your child's smile. We're also excited to unveil our new Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) technology - a groundbreaking addition to our practice that enables us to provide even better care to you and your family. You will find links to all these below.

Lastly, effective communication between our office and our patients is crucial. We offer multiple communication channels including phone, voicemail, text messages, and email. However, please note that reminder texts and emails for appointments are auto-generated, and we may not receive any responses beyond the "confirmation yes." We strongly encourage you to sign up for text message communication, as it enables us to reach you promptly, especially in urgent situations. You can read more about that below.

As we eagerly anticipate the arrival of an early (hopefully) spring in Minnesota, our team is looking forward to longer days and warmer weather. We hope these changes will bring renewed energy and vitality to us all.

Don't forget to schedule your family's spring recare visits. Call our office at the number below or follow this link to schedule your next recare appointment online. We hope to see you soon.

Warmest Regards,

Dr. Jeff Eggert, Dr. Elizabeth Eggert, and the Eggert Family Dentistry Team

February Wonder Woman: Emily

Emily was recognized as this month's Wonder Woman by her co-workers for always being very helpful and lending a hand to keep her teammates on schedule. She also has a lot of positivity and spunk and is fun to be around, making us all laugh!

Sign Up for Text Message Communication

Just a note about communication with our office. We work very hard to keep communication open for you and have many avenues for communication, including phone, voicemail, text messages, and email. Remember that the reminder texts and emails for your appointments are auto-generated and we do not see any messages you may send back to those beyond the "confirmation yes." Some of you have opted out of text communications and this makes it very difficult for us to get a hold of you when needed.

We encourage you all to sign up for text message communication. If you think you are not currently able to receive texts from us, please call Bekah and get reinstated.

We are finding more and more that we need to change appointment times because of people canceling at the last minute or not coming to their committed appointments. Therefore, we need to be able to reach you during the day.

To put it in perspective, in the month of January, we had 54 canceled appointments, 27 appointments canceled at the last minute, and 13 appointment no-shows. This puts an incredible strain on our business and makes it difficult for us to provide the top-notch customer service we strive for. As we have mentioned many times in this newsletter and at the practice since 2020, we now have to consistently charge for missed or changed appointments because we schedule our team members to be at work based on our commitment to serve you when you are scheduled.

We appreciate our patients and we appreciate your attention to this important matter.

Patient Story

The Need to Replace a Restoration on a Front Tooth – Arlene’s Story

Arlene had a dental procedure to replace a crown on her front tooth. Despite insurance suggesting a 5-year lifespan for crowns, Eggert Family Dentistry observes them to last 15-20 years with proper care. During the process, extensive decay was discovered, which led to considerations of root canal treatment or extraction. Arlene chose to save the tooth with a root canal and received a custom shade appointment. Although the process took longer than expected, Arlene is happy with the outcome and hopes her natural tooth lasts for many years.

Our Latest Technology Working for You! Eggert Family Dentistry Adds CBCT
