It's been an amazing 2 weeks with the Piedmont Pitch Business Plan Competition, The UVA Venture Capital Conference, The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative Symposium, and a delegation from Italy's Trieste Free Trade Port visiting, with whom we have a trade partnership for our companies that are expanding into Europe. We also were heavily engaged with the Tom Tom Festival days of 'Technology for Good' and Entrepreneurship for All.'

Thank you for helping us make 2023 a fantastic year! It was our pleasure to serve 915 clients within the 10 municipalities our office serves. Our clients reported 24 new business starts, 178 new jobs created, $51.37 Million in capital formed, and $611.7 Million in sales across clients.

Piedmont Pitch concluded after business owners went through 8 weeks of Business Essentials Training and Pitch Preparation,17 business plans were submitted and 6 finalists were chosen to pitch their business in front of a panel of judges.

Farmers can now access county specific farming data and USDA resources all in one place via the new farmers.gov local dashboard. Your farmers.gov local dashboard includes farming data and USDA resources including USDA news, commodity pricing, weather forecasts, historical climate data, past storm events, USDA service center locator and additional state resources for your state and county.
