ICPR Names New Staff and Board Members for 2016
ICPR is proud to announce new staff roles for 2016. As always, we thank all of our donors and partners for their support as our staff works to enact meaningful government reform in Illinois.

Sarah Brune
Executive Director

Sarah is assuming the role of Executive Director this year after serving as ICPR's Deputy Director, where she worked on the development and passage of SB 248, a bill to increase disclosure of Super PAC spending in Illinois. She also coordinated many ICPR forums and fundraising events, and helped launch the new Illinois Sunshine database, which tracks campaign spending and contributions across the state.
David Melton
Senior Advisor

ICPR's retiring Executive Director, David Melton, will continue his work with the organization on campaign finance reform and judicial election reform after the first of the year in his new capacities as Treasurer, Board Member and Senior Advisor to ICPR.




Nicole McLellan
Program Manager

After starting as ICPR's Research Assistant last year, Nicole will take on the role of Program Manager in 2016. Nicole's primary responsibilities include policy research, event coordination, and political spending analysis, and she aids in drafting and publishing the Illinois Sunshine Weekly Update.

Carl Johnson
Board Member
Carl Johnson is currently working as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the Employment Litigation Division of the City of Chicago Department of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in Sociology from Yale University in 2010 and his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2014. During law school, Carl worked with the U.S. District Court in New York, Morningside Heights Legal Services in New York, and the Circuit Court of Cook County in Illinois.  In the fall of 2014, he was a Legal Research Fellow  at ICPR .



Monika Maxouris
Student Representative
Monika is a senior at Loyola University Chicago pursuing Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Economics and Political Science, with minors in French and Business Administration. She spent a summer interning at ICPR as a Research Assistant and previously interned for 48th Ward Alderman Harry Osterman as a Communications Associate.
