I am excited to announce that English Rose has launched a brand new Volunteer Program that invites members of the community into our beautiful homes and into the lives of our wonderful residents.

For those not yet familiar with English Rose, we provide highly professional and personalized care for people living with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other complex medical conditions.  We care for people in the comfort of their own homes, as well as in our beautiful single-family homes nestled into some of Edina and Minnetonka’s most picturesque neighborhoods.

We Make it Easy

We designed our new volunteer program to easily fit into our people’s busy schedule: 

• No minimum time commitment
• Flexible schedules
• Lots of Locations

Personalize Your Experience

While we have many options for how volunteers spend their time at English Rose (e.g., Buddy Program, Walking Group, Art Classes, Baking Club, etc.) we also love it when volunteers design their own visits by sharing their hobbies, interests and passions. 

• Susan visits for a couple hours every Friday to help our residents participate in their morning exercises

• Every other week, Ella and her two friends from high school join residents on community outings to different interesting destination

• Chase rotates amongst the different homes, one per month, playing piano and violin 

Benefits of Volunteering at English Rose

Volunteering at English Rose is a wonderful way to meet new people, make new friends, and enhance the lives of others while cultivating your capacity for empathy and compassion.  If you are a student, it’s also a great way to build your resume through volunteer hours, earn a dementia care certification, and gain valuable experience in a health care setting.
