Reminder: Form Due July 1

All exchange students must fill out the Transfer & Exchange Fall Welcome Registration and Arrival Form. The deadline to fill out the form was Saturday, July 1. This form helps the Office for International Students and Scholars plan for your arrival and provides Student Transitions & Family Programs with information regarding your dietary restrictions and accommodation needs.

Waiver for Free Off-Campus Excursions

During Transfer & Exchange Welcome and the Exchange Experience, you will have opportunities to join TXSMs on free excursions throughout St. Louis. In order to participate, you must sign a waiver before the first day of classes.

If you would like to participate in the off-campus excursions during Bear Beginnings: Transfer & Exchange Welcome and/or the academic year, please sign the Exchange waiver before arriving to campus for Move-In Day.

WashU Email

As a reminder, it is important to set up your WashU email as soon as possible to receive important university information. Follow the steps below to log in:

  1. Activate your WUSTL Key: An email sent to you from the University Registrar contains instructions on setting up your WUSTL Key. This is your login and password for most university technologies you will use.
  2. Enroll in DUO two-factor authentication: WashU uses two-factor authentication to increase login security. Enroll in DUO Mobile so you can easily access WashU email, Canvas, and other university technologies.
  3. Activate your WashU Email: Once you enroll in WUSTL Key, a WashU email is automatically created for you through Microsoft Office 365. Log in using you WUSTL Key. To log in, visit the Information Technology website and select the "Log in to Office 365" button.
Billing
  • Paperless Billing: Washington University uses a paperless billing system, so all statements will be available on WebSTAC. The secure eBilling service will send an email to your WashU email account whenever a new monthly statement is ready. Students are responsible for making sure their accounts are paid in full by the due date to avoid late fees.
  • Third Party Access: If you would like someone else to be able to view or pay your bill, you will need to give them access by going to the Billing tab of WebSTAC and adding a new contact under “Payers.”
  • Enrollment Deposit: All undergraduate exchange students are required to pay a non-refundable enrollment deposit upon admission to Washington University. The enrollment deposit for exchange students is $500. This enrollment deposit covers costs for Fall/Winter Welcome, the new student orientation program, additional orientation experiences for international students, and programming offered for exchange students throughout the semester such as local excursions and holiday celebrations.

For detailed instructions and more information regarding billing, visit Financial Services.

Health & Wellness
  • Health Insurance: All exchange students are automatically enrolled in the WashU health insurance plan and billed for the cost of insurance. Learn more about insurance requirements before arriving in the U.S.
  • Student Health Fee: You will be charged a Student Health Fee that allows you access to medical and mental health services at Habif Health and Wellness Center.
  • Mandatory Health History Form and Immunizations: All exchange students are required to submit a health history form and proof of certain immunizations. This information must be uploaded to the Student Portal prior to arrival on campus.
  • Habif Health & Wellness Center: Located on campus, Habif offers a range of services including medical checkups, mental health resources, wellness support, education, and more, at a reasonable cost.
