We are excited for our 2nd annual Safari Trek Fundraiser on September 9th. This is a family friendly interactive 5k staged in parks, trails and neighborhoods in Arvada with fun Safari Stops along the way with giveaways & prizes. Walk it or bring your scooters, roller skates and wagons. Fur babies are also welcome!

We need more sponsors!

Thanks to our current sponsors- we are honored to have been able to continue our sponsorship program for these 22 kids who have been rescued. We have known most of these kids for 9+ years and during this last year, we have worked tirelessly to reconnect them with their families and empower their families to ensure that the children have a safe and secure future. However, we need more help. For $35 per month, you can help us provide these children with the care and support they need to thrive. Your sponsorship will go towards providing education, healthcare, food and a safe environment for these children to grow and develop. Join us in impacting the lives of these children and making a difference in their future.

If you have a preference on the age or gender of a child please let us know and we can work to connect you with the right child.

Most of our Malindi Kids will be first generation high school graduates. We began a new tradition in January where those who finish high school pass the torch to those in the last year of high school, who will soon follow in their footsteps. We want to instill in them the value of celebrating and supporting each other in their next steps! Each school year will begin with a cake for all and those who have finished cut the cake together with those who are beginning their final year!

OFF TO COLLEGE!

We are thrilled that these two incredible young women will be starting college this September! Their courage to escape the children's home where they were victimized was a springboard to help rescue 20 other kids who were trapped in exploitation and abuse. And despite all they had been through, they persevered and completed high school last December. They have spent the last several months learning valuable skills such as computer literacy, sewing, and budgeting. We are so proud of these brave and resilient individuals and wish them all the best in their academic pursuits.

AND, we need your help, as September approaches, and they prepare to begin their college journey the financial burden of tuition, housing, and textbooks can be overwhelming. That's why we're calling on individuals to invest in the future by supporting these 2. By providing funding, you can make a significant impact on their ability to succeed academically and achieve their goals. One will be pursuing a diploma in community health with a focus on midwifery, while the other will be studying mortuary sciences. Join us in empowering the next generation of leaders. .

Each student needs $200 per month to complete their diploma programs in college. We are currently funded at almost 40% of their monthly cost and are looking for donors to complete their year of college with another $125 per month each or a one time gift for the year of $1500 each.

ACTIVATING SOLUTIONS

IMPACTING FOOD SCARCITY AND FAMILY SUSTAINABILITY

As part of our ongoing efforts to impact food insecurity and support family sustainability, we are excited about launching our poultry project. Earlier this year, we discussed the urgent need to combine immediate needs with long-term solutions and this project is a step towards achieving that vision. The project includes the establishment of poultry production at two family homes and a larger community project aimed at providing sustainable food sources and supporting families. With the launch of this project, we hope to not only continue providing immediate relief with food bundles but also create long-term solutions to food insecurity. We look forward to updating you on the progress of this initiative to support vulnerable families.

SOLUTIONS FOR WATER SCARCITY

Providing access to consistent water through water storage systems, additional water taps, and digging wells can change outcomes for families and entire communities.

Earlier this year we provided another water storage tank and platform for a well, providing much-needed water storage for a community.

We are constantly on the lookout for new sites that can benefit from clean water storage and help us make an even bigger impact. Thank you for your support and let's keep up the great work!
