Eugene Marlow’s Heritage Ensemble
Celebrates 28 Years of Re-Imagining Hebraic Melodies
For almost three decades Eugene Marlow’s Heritage Ensemble
has been enthralling audiences with its blend of
traditional Hebraic liturgical and folk melodies
with various jazz, Afro-Caribbean, and Brazilian rhythms.

Since the first public performance of these arrangements which took place on October 6, 1991 at Tavern on the Green (New York City) at an event for the International Committee for the Dance Library of Israel The Heritage Ensemble has performed at: synagogues, Jewish community centers, jazz clubs, performing arts centers, museums, hospitals, and educational institutions.

The underlying purpose of the repertoire is to explore the commonalities among various cultures in the diaspora from which all these musical elements are inherited. This is part of the reason “Heritage” is in the Ensemble ’s name.
