COMMUNITY EVENTS

Zaka Search and Rescue’s (www.zakaworld.org) volunteers have been working in Israel, to the point of physical and psychological exhaustion since the devastating attack by Hamas on October 7. Charged with the sacred duty of providing dignity for all those who have perished during the current crisis, Zaka volunteers are the LAST-FIRST RESPONDERS. They search for survivors and make certain that the remains of those that do not survive are given proper burials. Zaka is committed to Kavod Hamet (respect for the deceased).

Zaka will be sponsoring an important event at Temple Beth Shalom, Livingston, on Monday evening, September 9. There will be a VIP reception at 7:00 PM followed by a community-wide event.
