EFC funds Metsaülikool in Estonia and 70th Lakewood Estonian Games in US

Metsaülikool took place in Viljandimaa, Estonia this year with financial support from EFC. Former president Toomas Hendrik Ilves opened the event with a lecture on how the world has changed since the Cold War. Other presentations and discussions focused on climate change, folk music, medicinal herbs, Finno-Ugric Languages and much more. In addition, the program included hikes, storytelling sessions and crafts. Read more about Metsaülikool in Eesti Elu. Järgmisel aastal kutsub Metsaülikool kõiki jälle Kotkajärvele!

The 70th Lakewood Estonian Games organized by Eesti Spordiliit USAs (Estonian-American Amateur Athletes) had a record attendance of 400 this year! With EFC financial support for this anniversary event, participants competed in golf, swimming, pickleball, chess and more. Even a thunderstorm on Saturday night couldn't dampen the spirits - Valguspidu and the celebration of athletes were moved indoors into Lakewood Estonian House. The evening concluded with a performance by Estonian rapper Nublu and a dance party. Elagu eestlus ja sport!
