NOVEMBER 2020 EDITION
Dr. Santos Receives Excellence in Online Learning Award
Congratulations to Dr. Susana Santos for winning this year's Excellence in Online Learning at Rowan for her MBA Entrepreneurship course in the Rohrer College of Business!

This summer, Dr. Santos sent daily "mindset vitamins", as inspired by the work of Dr. Heidi Neck of Babson College, to keep her online MBA students engaged in their journey to develop their entrepreneurial mindset. According to Dr. Santos, this mindset needs to be practiced daily and requires reflection. Dr. Santos wanted to develop a way to connect with her students virtually and promote their daily reflection, so she generated a class group chat via WhatsApp and sent daily "mindset vitamins". These vitamins were short messages in the form of a question, inspiring quote, or action and did not require a response, rather they were meant to be absorbed and keep students engaged over the eight-week course. Dr. Santos was thrilled to see that the students often responded and the vitamins became a unique way to build connections in the classroom during such challenging times.

Thank you for all that you do to further entrepreneurship education at Rowan University, Dr. Santos! We are so #RowanPROUD.
"I believe that the daily mindset vitamins are an interesting way to build bridges between students and online classes, especially during a pandemic.
Entrepreneurship is about empowerment and transformation and we need this mindset now more than ever."

- Dr. Susana Santos
