2024 Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy

Applications are open for Rowan's 8th annual Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy for high school students.

Students will learn how to conceive, develop, prototype, and sell their ideas, all while earning three college course credits. Check out how our high schoolers learn to think like an entrepreneur, here. Thanks to the generous support of the TD Charitable Foundation, participation in the academy is free of charge!

The RCIE's spring Spotlight Speaker Series event highlighted food innovation entrepreneurs David Meskhi (Yummy Bazaar), John Makovic (Adelina Sales), and Janis Grover (Grover Global Food Marketing). The panel discussed industry shifts, startup challenges, partnership building, and global market strategies.

This semester, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship launched the Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Creative Industries Entrepreneurship, designed to blend creative passions with entrepreneurial skills. Creatives 230 hosted their first-ever Creatives Fest, bringing together students from different majors to celebrate creativity and entrepreneurship. The event featured a range of activities and interactive workshops, including a teamwork exercise, an alumni panel, and an exclusive conversation with the voice behind Rowan Barstool.

Thanks to the Singleton Foundation, Rowan students explored entrepreneurship and financial literacy through interactive gameplay in the Venture Valley Collegiate Cup. Participants competed for a piece of the $3,000 prize pool while enhancing their skills.

Siena Rampulla (Psychology '23, MBA '25) proudly represented Rowan University at the WBENC National Conference in Denver, Colorado. Amongst female entrepreneurs from across the nation, Rampulla engaged in workshops focusing on pitching to diverse networks, professionalism, and the collective power of women. 

Renowned American photographer Zoe Strauss delivered an inspiring artist talk as part of RCIE's Making a Maker series, captivating students with her insights and experiences. Strauss' work has been featured at the Whitney Biennial, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the International Center of Photography in New York City.
