Membership Meeting
Monday, January 27 @ 2:15 p.m. in Room 602
We hope to see you at the Texas School Coalition membership meeting that will take place as part of the TASA Mid-winter Conference on Monday, January 27, at 2:15 p.m. in room 602 of the Austin Hilton Hotel.

Later that same day, we hope you will join us for our reception over at Parker Jazz Club , starting at 5:00 p.m.
We just saw a decade come to a close, so it's time to take a walk down memory lane and review what happened (and didn't happen) in the world of school finance over the last 10 years.

The decade began with a recession that prompted legislators to make punishing cuts in public education funding. It took many years for schools to recover from those cuts. Eventually, the Legislature put significant new dollars into public schools in 2019 and made significant structural reforms. A key question going forward is whether legislators can maintain those investments, especially if the economy heads south again.

Calling all musicians!
Do you have some talent you would like to share? Have you ever dreamed of playing in a jazz club? During our reception on Monday, January 27, we have a very special member of our group who agreed to share his talents with us, and we would love to have a jazz ensemble if there are others who are willing to join him on stage. If you have some musical gifts you would like to share, please send an email to christy@txsc.org to let us know.
Thank you to our annual sponsors!
