OSHA Updates Hazard Communication Standard


OSHA announced its final rule that will update the current Hazard Communication Standard to better protect workers. The updated standard improves the information on labels and safety data sheets, allowing workers and first responders to react more quickly in an emergency. The updates take effect on July 19.

NIA Advocates for Members on Building Code Investment and Adoption


NIA joined with nearly 40 organization to request the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security to consider the value of sustainable building policies and the well-documented return on investment that the adoption and effective implementation of building energy codes provides. The organizations represent national/state/local manufacturing, contractor, sustainability, engineering, design, and resilience interests. Read the letter here.
