Are you a K-12 teacher trainer looking for new STEM resources, toolkits, and classroom activities to share? Do you want to learn with other trainers to deepen your practice? If so, visit the NASA STEM Gateway to apply for the Next Gen STEM 101 Train the Trainer Workshop at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Attendees will learn about NASA-specific resources, develop practical skills in implementing NASA STEM activities, gain insights into strategies for effectively supporting educators implementing science and engineering practices in classrooms, and network with other teacher trainers from across the country.

How Much Weight Can Aluminum Foil Boats Float?


Have you ever wondered how a ship made of steel can float? If you drop a steel bolt in a bucket of water, the bolt quickly sinks to the bottom. Then how can a steel ship float? And better yet, how can a steel ship carry a heavy load without sinking? It has to do with the density, or the mass per volume, of the ship (and its cargo) compared to the density of water.
