Some elements of the news media have been playing an increasingly exploitative role in deepening the country's bitter political divides to broaden their audiences. But other news outlets and start-ups have been looking for a different kind of journalism that seeks to circumvent the divisions plaguing our political institutions and find common ground. Read more.

In the face of rising angst about the increase in homeless encampments over the past few years, one group is seeking to educate the public about the roots of homelessness and mobilize supporters. In January the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless opened its 2021 Virtual Education Series.

As the pandemic has continued, the population group most impacted has been older adults, specifically Black, Indigenous, and Latinx older adults. This disproportionate impact highlights the need to design tailored public health resources & outreach; reinforcing how essential an equity lens is when conducting engagement. Read more.
