You Can Golf FORE Education

Join us for the Golf FORE Education Tournament on Monday, March 25th at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes. You'll get to spend the day on the golf course while enjoying delicious food, drinks, and prizes!

Because all funds raised through the tournament support The Foundation's many programs that benefit the students and teachers of Seminole County Public Schools, your fun day will be for a great cause.

Thank You For Giving!

This Holiday Season, we asked our community to give the gift of education. We want to thank everyone who donated during our Year End Giving Campaign. You answered the call and raised $21,923. Thanks to a very generous match of $10,000 from the WEV Local Impact Fund, our overall total was $31,923!

This just proves that together, we can share hope for our students in Seminole County and provide them with a brighter future!

National Mentoring Month

January is National Mentoring Month and we had a great time celebrating our mentors all month long! We brought our mentors together for an appreciation lunch since we love being able to see them outside of mentoring sessions and connect with them. In addition, the School Board recognized our Take Stock Mentors at a School Board meeting on January 23rd.

We could not change the lives of at-risk youth without our Take Stock Mentors. Thank you to all of those who have taken on this commitment to give your time to guide our students to success in high school, college and life! Thank you to the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations for the continued support of our programs! As part of a $6 million grant from the State of Florida’s School District Education Foundation Matching Grant statewide, we have received $133K to match private dollars 1:1 in our community to support public education.

We thank our local legislators, Sen. Jason Brodeur, Rep. Rachel Plakon, Rep. David Smith, Rep. Susan Plasencia, and Rep. Doug Bankson, for their continued support of these state matching funds.
