Church Endowment Fund Team

Father Glenn is looking for 3-4 folks wanting to serve on a Church Endowment Fund Team. What is the purpose of a church endowment fund?

Establishing an endowment fund benefits Holy Comforter in many ways. Creating an endowment sets up the structure for the parish to support the ministries of the church, allows the parish to have a fund set aside for inevitable property issues and assists Holy Comforter in avoiding another debt/mortgage crisis. It helps to focus our stewardship and fundraising efforts, and it can build community and increase the vitality of our community, freeing us for broader mission.

Please speak with Father Glenn if interested.

What are your Spiritual Gifts?

Dear Holy Comforter community,

I encourage you to take the Spiritual Gifts inventory through the Episcopal Church (see link below).

My spiritual gifts according to the inventory are: Mercy and Caregiving, Faith, Prophet, Exhortation, Teaching, Leadership, Healing and Wisdom

I would love to hear about your gifts/results and the way you can use those gifts for ministry here at Holy Comforter.

Spiritual Gifts

Children's Ministry Volunteer

We are looking for one or two folks, maybe a retired educator, to take the lead in leading and organizing the Sunday School program starting in September. This would include working with the parents on scheduling the Sunday school teachers, communicating with parents, and ordering the curriculum. Teaching classes is not a requirement but would not be frowned upon.

Please talk to Father Glenn if you are interested in this important mission.
