Drop off/ Pick Up Reminders
As the school year nears the end we want to remind our families of our pick-up and drop-off procedures for the safety of our campus. Below is a reminder of what those procedures are. Below are the general procedure reminders.
- Parents and student drivers enter the back of the school off Tierwester and exit on Southmore. It's a one-way drive.
- Only buses are allowed in the front from 7:15-7:40 and 2:30-3:15 PM. Students who are dropped off in this area during these times will receive a detention.
- Do not stop on Southmore/Tierwester to drop off students.
- After entering off Tierwester, the left lane is for student drivers heading to the student parking lot. The right lane is for parents dropping off. This is the only section to pick up or drop off students.
- The right lane should keep moving up as it is possible. Pull all the way up. On the driveway stretch near the canopy, you should pull almost up to Southmore if it’s clear.
- Do not leave gaps between cars. Pull all the way up.
- Never drop off in the student parking lot. Cones will be set-up blocking the exit.
- Be kind and respectful to everyone!
- Watch for the admin directing traffic. Follow their directions and be kind!
- Student drivers need to follow proper procedures to get a parking permit and should not park on Southmore for their own safety.
- Student drivers can only cross at the crosswalk!

Laptop/ Tech Check Out - Wednesday, June 5th
On Wednesday, June 5th all 9th - 11th grade students will be participating in laptop collection after lunch. Students are responsible for turning in their laptop and charger. If students received hotspots this year they will need to turn those in as well during laptop collection. If any students have lost their charger they will be asked to pay a $32 fee online to clear their account before the summer. Please make sure your child has an appropriate online method of payment available on Wednesday if they have lost their equipment. Students will not be allowed to check out until their class has completed their rotation in laptop collection. We would appreciate parent support in allowing us time to work through this collection process for the entire campus.

Hello Energy Students!
As we draw this school year to a close, I wanted to do a shout-out for the newsletter as a reminder, since we experienced some concerns with severe allergic reactions, known as Anaphylaxis reactions, this school year. This type of a reaction is a MEDICAL EMERGENCY.
Remember…
- Food from home has ingredients that are not always visible or known to other students.
- Flavored drinks, such as herbal teas, coffee, teas have ingredients that are not always visible or known to other students .
- Medications are only allowed if you followed the correct process (see below).
So, to keep each of you safe:
Do not share anything especially:
Food or Drinks ( herbal teas, flavored drinks, etc.)
Or
Medication
Giving another student food or drink or medication can result in an allergic reaction, known as an Anaphylaxis reaction. It is a serious reaction, needing EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE.
Any student requiring medication, needs to have the medication form filled out and submitted to me, Jennifer Singh, School Nurse. See the attached medication form. If you have questions or need a different type of medication form, please do reach out!

Summer volunteer applications at Lessonologists are now open! Lessonologists provide FREE online tutoring and summer camps to disadvantaged students. Volunteers can serve as virtual camp counselors this summer to earn up to 400 service hours and leadership credit for certain honor societies. All camp activities are premade, so our volunteers' main tasks are to practice and present their chosen topics.
High school students can apply with our Google Form, which takes about 20 minutes, and they can learn more about Lessonologists on our website. The application deadline is July 5th.
Past counselors have also reported improved tutoring/teaching opportunities after volunteering with us, so we encourage you to check out this flexible, exciting program! We hope to see you soon.

Hello Energy Families!
Many of you have students are or have turned over 18 years old. If you have records with IMMTRAC, please note you need to fill out an adult consent form for your records to transfer over. Please see the below information from Immtrac and refer to the website referenced for more information. I have attached the adult consent form and Authorization form for your convivence
Adult Immunization Records (18+ years)
The Texas Immunization Registry began storing adult immunization records in 2009 as an "opt-in" registry system, meaning that a consent form had to be signed to add records to the registry. This allowed Texans age 18 years or older to voluntarily store their adult immunization records in the registry.
Prior to September 1, 2015, immunization records of individuals who turned 18 were "hidden" unless consent was received. If consent was not received by the 19th birthday, the records were deleted from the registry. Beginning on September 1, 2015, the Texas Immunization Registry was allowed to extend the timeframe to hold childhood immunization records after an individual becomes an adult, from 18 to 26 years of age, but they are still "hidden" unless a consent form is received. Immunization records are deleted if a person does not complete and submit an ImmTrac2 Adult Consent Form (EF11-13366) by their 26th birthday.
To request a copy of immunization records for a person over 18 years of age, complete and submit (by fax or mail) an ImmTrac2 Adult Consent Form (F11-13366) and an Authorization to Release ImmTrac2 History Form (F11-11406). (atached for your convivence)
NOTE: Your immunization record may not be available in ImmTrac2. If you are an adult and your healthcare provider did not submit information to ImmTrac2 or if you have not sent in a shot record, no information will be available.

Hello Energy Families and Graduating students!
Congratulations class of 2024!
This is a time of transition and anticipation. Check out the information from the CDC for some guidance on how to help your child be empowered for health!
Here are some health tips for graduates, their parents and caregivers as well as health care providers to make this time of transition a little smoother.
As you graduate, so do your health care needs.
Here are some tips to take care of charge of your health.
- Establish car via telehealth or in person with your health care providers – at home and at your new “home away from home”
- Learn more about reasonable accommodations that can help you thrive.
- Add local contacts into your phone to call in case of a medical emergency. Choose people who know what to do if you need help.
As you enter college, get empowered by taking charge of your health!
College students can get Empowered 4 Health by:
- Getting to know the location and the services offered at their college’s health center.
- Learning more about reasonable accommodations that can help students with special needs thrive such as extended test time, recorded lectures, and notetaking assistance.
- Adding local contacts into their phone to call in case of a medical emergency. The ideal emergency contact is someone who knows what to do if the student needs help.
Recent grads going into the workforce or independent living can get Empowered 4 Health by:
- Asking their doctor for a referral to a specialist near them if they require specialized care.
- Talking to human resources department about workplace accessibility at their new job.
- Locating a nearby pharmacy and never starting or stopping any medications without first talking to their doctor.
- Getting a copy of their medical records and understanding their medical history.
