CoMADE Departure and Opportunity at 954 E McMillan
CoMADE, our tenant at the former Kroger building, recently and reluctantly made the decision to cease all operations. We are so sorry to see them leave the neighborhood.  The initiative has been unable to secure the necessary funding required to maintain operations.  Effective immediately, CoMADE has suspended all operations and ceased activities at its Walnut Hills location. Before closing, CoMADE reached out directly to all members of the tool library.

CoMADE President, Rich Kiley, said: “We are deeply saddened that we cannot continue. CoMADE was a groundbreaking initiative focused on regenerating manufacturing in urban locations as well as preparing workers for employment with manufacturers. Unfortunately, that vision requires substantial funding and we have been unable to find the necessary partners who can help us turn the vision into a reality. We would like to thank our Board of Advisors, initial donors, and partners for their help and support.”

With CoMADE leaving the space, the former Kroger building is now on the market. We are currently seeking other creative ideas for the building. Please share with your networks and click here to see the listing so we can get this space active again.
