In recruiting and employment matters today, we apply technology including, yet not limited to, what is labeled as "Artificial Intelligence." Yet, aside from the abundantly buzzing term "Artificial intelligence," there is so much more that we must invest in and adapt to while holding on to what is "real," too. Humanity is very real and, most important!
Adapt or Evaporate!
We must all adapt, or we evaporate! Starting my career in information technology, I bumped into Artificial Intelligence in the 1980s, in proprietary applications clients developed. At the time, the ADA programming language was touted as the artificial intelligence language of choice; that's no longer the case. The truth is, Artificial Intelligence is older than me and likely most of you readers. In terms of whom and when Artificial Intelligence began, it is in debate, albeit many of the early adaptors dating back to the 1950s have been identified and rendered due recognition. History is essential, and adaptation is vital. We use Artificial intelligence tools today to save time, meet demand and maintain the edge we all need. What is real? I can tell you Artificial Intelligence did NOT write this article; it is "authentic," written with my genuine intent, leading us to another important topic...
People Still Hire People!
Notwithstanding, people still make employment decisions on both sides of the employment equation. Suppose anyone believes artificial intelligence should promptly take over selecting the next employee, employer, spouse, or president. In that case, I suggest Tongue-in-Cheek, looking at Albert Einstine's smiling photos and considering both quotes again for the sake of laughter and logic. The harnessing of new tools is just that, "tools," as were light, electricity, computers, and the internet. Humanity still harnesses the tools, the relationships, the actions, and the future.
Human capacity is still the primary tool in harnessing technology, business, and venture success via collaborative work!
