Valley Health Employer Health - Pricing Schedule

Employer Health pricing schedule is changing for select services effective January 1, 2023.

Our fees for Substance Abuse Testing and DOT Physicals are increasing slightly based on an analysis of our actual cost of providing these services. NEW rates are as follows:

Urine Drug Screen - Collection Only $25.00
Urine Drug Screen - Full-Service $50.00 (NDOT & DOT)
Physical - DOT Exam $110.00

Thank you for understanding that this price increase means we can continue to maintain the superior standard of our services. These service fees have not increased since 2015.

DOT Spotlight - Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a breathing-related sleep disorder that causes brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. These pauses in breathing can last at least 10 seconds or more and can occur up to 400 times a night. Sleep apnea is a serious,

potentially life-threatening condition that often goes unrecognized and undiagnosed.

Jeffrey Lessar, MD, Valley Health Pulmonary & Sleep Specialists, recently provided important insight to delays drivers may be experiencing in sleep apnea evaluations. A supply shortage of CPAP machines, and replacement parts, has now extended the evaluation process up to 10 weeks. Drivers near renewal, or with risk factors, should be encouraged to schedule their appointment well in advance.

In our experience, setting driver expectations prior to the scheduled physical exam is crutial in moving through the physical with ease. Registration will provide guidance at time of scheduling.

MyeScreen User Guide

In October 2021, Employer Health migrated to the latest eScreen123™ software system - eReader+.

The same rapid results now in a consolidated unit with expanded point of care testing to 13 panels.

Utilization of the MyeScreen web portal is recommended for our eScreen clinic client accounts. Generating an ePassport Scheduled Event expedites the registration process, acts as authorization for treatment, eliminates human error at data entry, and confirms the exact services to be performed.

Drug Screen - Pre-Employment & Random

Temporary Hours of Service

Effective November 14, 2022, hours of operation for pre-employment and random drug screening are Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Exceptions would include initial injury, reasonable suspicion, and/or federal mandate, as warranted. Weekend hours will remain unchanged at 9:00am – 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Jill Bethlehem, PA-C

Valley Health Employer Health has promoted Jill Bethlehem, PA-C to the newly created position of Employer Health dedicated provider in the North Region - covering the eastern panhandle of West Virginia and western Maryland. Based at Valley Health Urgent Care - Martinsburg, Jill has over 18 years of experience in emergency department and urgent care settings. She joined Valley Health in 2018. A Pennsylvania native, Jill resides in Berkeley County with her husband, 8 year old son and one fur child. In her spare time, she enjoys the abundance of outdoor activities with her family. Hiking, kayaking, cycling and reading are her favorite things.
