Employee Trustee Piechocinski to retire,

Board to fill upcoming vacancy for remainder of 2016

Employee Trustee John Piechocinski is retiring from IMRF's Board of Trustees effective June 30, 2016. At the May 20 Board Meeting, IMRF's Board of Trustees appointed Alex Wallace to fill the vacancy of Mr. Piechocinski for the balance of 2016, effective July 1, 2016.

Mr. Wallace, an employee of School District 308 in Oswego, will fill the vacancy until December 31, 2016. An Employee Trustee election will be held this fall. The full term will be for four years, spanning January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2020.

Mr. Piechocinski, an employee of the Plainfield Community Consolidated School District, has been an Employee Trustee since January 2011. He has held the positions of Board Secretary (2013), Board Vice President (2014), and Board President (2015). During the May Board Meeting, IMRF's Board of Trustees heard and approved a Resolution of Appreciation in recognition of Mr. Piechocinski's service to IMRF.

Updated GASB 68 Census Data available

GASB 68 Annuitant Census Data has been updated and is available for download in Employer Access. The revised data will make it easier for employers to balance to the census count shown in the GASB 68 report provided by IMRF's actuary. This update includes annuitant census data only; the active and inactive GASB 68 data did not need updating.

Log in to Employer Access to retrieve your employer's GASB 68 Annuitant Census Data. After log in, select Document Archive then, as shown in the image below, search for:

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held July 22, 2016, at IMRF's Oak Brook headquarters.
