CTSI Update: Announcement
Elissa Everton is a PhD candidate at the laboratory of Dr. Valerie Gouon-Evans at the Center for Regenerative Medicine. She was awarded the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) F31 Individual Predoctoral Fellowship Award from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Ms. Everton is investigating the sex differences in liver injury and regeneration following acute acetaminophen overdose and how hormone therapy can be used as a therapeutic to accelerate recovery.
