ELEMENTS OF DESIGN.

Your home should tell a story of

who you are and be a collection

of what you love.

NATE BERKUS Nate Berkus Associates

Hello Margaret,

Welcome spring, a season of new beginnings, renewal, and growth! In our Design world, Spring is the season of new introductions in home furnishings. Our Designers have been busy attending High Point Market in North Carolina and Design Edge in D.C. to preview what's trending in furniture and fabrics. In this newsletter, we share a few highlights from these markets and we look forward to incorporating them in upcoming design projects.

A few additional items to share, effective June 1, 2024, the ANSI/WCMA Cord Safety Standard has been updated to eliminate all free-hanging cords. All shading products we offer have been and continue to be compliant with these standards.

Hunter Douglas is proud to have received AERC Certification for enhanced energy performance on 324 of its shade products with PowerView Automation. Shades paired with an automated lift option can be scheduled to open and close at peak energy consumption times of the day, providing a smart solution for increased energy performance and comfort.

Interested in adding energy efficient shades to your home this summer? Hunter Douglas is offering a Cool for the Summer Savings Event from May 18th through August 19th on Duette Honeycomb shades with PowerView automation. See below for details on this energy efficient rebate -

Kindest regards,

HIGH POINT MARKET 24

Curvilinear forms dominated furniture, case goods,

lighting designs, reflecting a trend toward organic shapes.

Decorative Shades

The reoccurring theme was

“cottage chic,” characterized by

small scaled organic floral prints

and checks, creating a cozy, and inviting atmosphere. Fabric covered lamp shades were abundant, adorning both traditional and

modern style sconces, table lamps, and floor lamps, adding warmth

and texture to spaces.

Furniture With Curved Lines

This combination of curvilinear

forms, cottage-inspired prints,

and fabric-covered lighting fixtures created a harmonious blend of traditional charm and contemporary elegance, offering a fresh take on classic design elements.

Button Contrast

In the world of interior design,

certain elements never go out of style. Among them, button-tufted furniture stands as a timeless symbol of sophistication, luxury and classic elegance. From plush sofas to elegant headboards, the addition of contrasting button-tufting adds a touch of refinement and character

to any piece. To construct button-tufted furniture involves careful attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship, but added to any piece will bring a touch of old-world charm to modern interiors.

Scallops

Sweet scallop detailing was

plentiful across the High Point

Market showrooms. With its graceful curves and timeless appeal, scallop detailed furniture adds a touch of sophistication and charm to any room. From tables and chairs to ottomans and headboards,

scallop detailed furniture has

made a significant mark in the

realm of design.
