Hagåtña -- The Guam Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Membership meeting today which featured Chairman Edward G. Untalan's year-end address and Chamber President Catherine Castro's annual report to the membership. An additional highlight included the results of the Chamber Board Elections. 65% of eligible members cast their ballots over a seven-day voting period.
The Chamber membership elected nine (9) Board Directors to fill seats for the 2023 Chamber Board. The seven (7) voting directors elected to serve a three-year term are:
- TOM SHIMIZU, General Manager, Ambros Inc.
- CANDY C. OKUHAMA, Chief Executive Officer, ASC Trust, LLC
- CHRISTOPHER DUENAS, Chief Financial Officer, Triple J Enterprises Inc.
- JOE ARNETT, Senior Advisor, Deloitte & Touche LLP
- FRANK CAMPILLO. Health Plan Administrator. Calvo's Insurance Underwriters. Inc.
- ERNIE GALITO, Business Development Director: Marketing & Communications Director, Atkins Kroll, Inc.
- HOA VAN NGUYEN, M.D., Co-Founder / President, American Medical Center
The two (2) Alternate Directors elected to serve a one-year term are LAMONTE JAMES "JIM" BEIGHLEY, CEO & Head Strategy Mergers & Acquisitions, CPL Pacific and JUAN CARLOS BENITEZ, President & Owner, The Washington Pacific Economic Development Group, Inc.
TOM SHIMIZU was the highest vote-getter and will automatically serve on the Chamber's Executive Committee in 2023.
The nine (9) Directors elected today will join eleven (11) holdovers and comprise the 2023 Chamber Board. The holdovers are:
